This is definitely not day one, but since I could not find a way to get into my previous blog from a couple years ago, I start over.
Life Off the Grid is a choice my husband and I have made. Electricity from the power company is now available to us. It was not an option when we originally built our home in 1996. Electricity to our property would have cost us between $48,000 and $54,000. We opted to install solar power at about $12,000.
If we had made the decision to have power from the power company installed, we would have already lost our home because of the current economic situation in our great USA.
